We moved our daughter here after just not having a great feeling at her previous one, and my goodness the difference it’s made. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, it is a home from home and our daughter is so happy and settled here. The girls in the baby room are the most amazing ladies and I’m so thankful, my daughter adores them! Kayleigh the manager made me feel comfortable from the get go and I don’t want my daughter to ever move on from Lucy the baby room lead, she is incredible.

Our space
Over the Moon is a close-knit, 28-place nursery set within the secure grounds of a college in Flackwell Heath. Inside and outside, thoughtfully defined areas invite children to move freely between different kinds of play. They can choose where to go, what to investigate and how to spend their time, with the team nearby to encourage, guide and join in.

Outdoors
Woodland trails and open fields give children room to build dens, search for wildlife and notice the seasons changing around them. Wellies and waterproofs are part of the everyday kit here. Children spend time outside throughout the year, learning through movement, discovery and the freedom to explore the natural world.
Found on Spring Lane in Flackwell Heath, with on-site parking for easy drop-off and collection. The nursery is within easy reach of High Wycombe, Beaconsfield and Bourne End.

My daughter joined The House That Jack Built in September, having moved to Marlow Bottom from Marlow. The new manager Michelle and her team have been fantastic. The nursery is always clean, my daughter hardly gets ill as opposed to the other setting where she was always sick. All events and learning objectives are always carefully planned and carried out. My daughter is happy to go in and has not cried once. Thank you to all the lovely staff for being great.
A lovely bustling day nursery which prides itself on exceptional childcare. The staff I worked with were wonderful during my university placement years and the children were a joy to be around. Sleep, feeds and nappy changes follow your baby's own pattern, recorded in a daily diary, alongside sensory play, water play, music and buggy walks outside.

Babies sleep to their own pattern, not a fixed routine. Staff check every ten minutes and record it, with cotton bedding kept just for your child and gentle music playing.

Discounts
- Full-time (5 days a week): 10% discount, already applied to the 5-day price shown above
- Referral programme: refer a family who joins us and you both receive 10% off for 3 months
- Sibling discount: 5% off for the eldest child (full-time only)
- A&W College staff: 10% off for 4 or more days a week
- School teacher discount: for 3 or more days a week, fees are calculated over 43 weeks instead of 51. Evidence required (school ID badge). No other discounts apply alongside this one.
How funded hours are stretched
Government-funded hours (15 or 30 a week) are spread evenly across the whole year rather than just term time, so your weekly hours stay the same all year round:
- 30 hours funding: 30 hrs x 38 term-time weeks / 51 nursery weeks = 22.35 hrs a week
- 15 hours funding: 15 hrs x 38 term-time weeks / 51 nursery weeks = 11.17 hrs a week
Monthly fees are worked out the same way: your weekly rate x 51 weeks a year, divided by 12, so you pay the same amount each month regardless of how many weeks fall in it.
Food charges
Charges for food will be applied for days where funded hours are taken and will be itemised on the invoice. Prices above are fully inclusive of food, wipes and suntan cream.

- Ad hoc full day (08:00-18:00): £100.12
Extended hours
Early starts from 07:30 and late finishes to 18:30 are available in addition to standard session times. Please ask us for current availability and cost.
Closure dates
We are closed from Wednesday 23 December 2026 to Friday 1 January 2027 inclusive. 23 December 2026 is also a staff training day.
Review date
This fee schedule is reviewed on 1 April 2027, at management's discretion.

Common questions
Yes, families from High Wycombe and Beaconsfield use us regularly, and the journey is straightforward. We are on Spring Lane in Flackwell Heath, HP10 9HE, and parents from Bourne End and Wooburn Green also make the trip without any trouble. It is worth a visit to get a feel for the site before you decide.
Every 3 and 4 year old is entitled to 15 universal hours a week regardless of parental work status, and working families can access up to 30 funded hours from when their child turns 9 months old, subject to meeting the government's working and income criteria. It is worth checking your exact entitlement through the government's Childcare Choices website, then talking to us about how the hours can be arranged around your family's schedule at Over the Moon.
Over the Moon takes children from 3 months up to 5 years old. We are a small nursery with just 28 places, so we would encourage you to get in touch as early as you can rather than waiting until you need the place urgently. That gives us the best chance of having something that fits when you need it.
We hold a Good rating from Ofsted, which reflects what inspectors found when they looked at the quality of care and learning here. For us that is not something to rest on — it is a reference point that tells you an independent set of eyes has looked at this setting and found it to be working well. You are always welcome to read the report yourself and ask us questions about it when you visit.
Over the Moon sits within the open grounds of a college campus in Flackwell Heath, which gives the children access to woodland trails and open fields as part of ordinary nursery life, not just on occasional outings. Wellies and waterproofs are everyday kit, and children spend real time building dens, watching wildlife and being outside in all weathers.
